Are writers really learning from these Master Classes? I don’t know what to think. From one perspective, how can you not learn? I just read that Salman Rushdie has added his name to the list of authors teaching on Master Class. He’s been writing since like the 70s. You can’t not learn something, right?

Then again, I’ve done Master Classes, and other online classes, and found them to be surface. The best teaching for me is mentorship or actual professors correcting my work. I’m curious, though, are people really learning from these classes?
