Haha, I’m sure there are others out there putting pen to paper. I’d say start with your community. Who do you know or who can you easily reach out to and offer your services? Does everyone know you’re a writer now? You’d be surprised when you start asking around. Don’t stress out too much about how much you’re getting paid with these initial gigs. Get comfortable with the process — including asking for payment — and build your confidence in delivering what they asked for. Once you do that a few times, you can reassess your value and start making some real dollars :)
