I wouldn't lose all faith. The publishing industry is flawed, yes, but it's also producing countless amounts of beautiful stories and introducing the world to some wonderful authors. People go into publishing because they love it and I don't think that's changed. They're are amazing editors and execs and agents working hard everyday. We just need to challenge the systems we love so we can hold it accountable and make sure it's serving those who are responsible for its success.
