Not exactly. I'm saying that writers SHOULD take on that responsibility because readers depend on them for information. Yes, writers can be all the things you mentioned so there is responsibility on the reader to be accountable, as well. But this article and this publication is speaking to writers, so I took that angle. And as I know you know, there are plenty writers who do take that responsibility seriously and aim to write the truth. But when emotions are involved, high emotions, the truth can still be left for interpretation.
