Thanks, William. My very first writing jobs were just people within my network, friends and friends of friends who needed bios or some web copy done. After that, ghostwriting became a thing for me. I was able to secure a couple of contracts to write books for people I connected with through LinkedIn. While that was going on, I’d connected with a few agencies who hooked me up with copywriting jobs, including a contract I still have now. Creative agencies are either underutilized or underestimated. If you can copy write, they’re really a great asset. What’s helped me the most is being versatile. At the beginning, I did a lot of writing I wasn’t necessarily passionate about but still learned a lot. Now I get to do more of what I like, but it took some time to get here.
