You are making sense, Raks, even if we differ slightly in our points. I believe that your imagination can be sparked by any number of triggers, environment being only one. That’s why I included those points at the end. When we start exploring outside our immediate environment, our day to day experiences become fueled by our imagination. There is some substance to your argument that hearing the same stories over and over again can affirm a certain belief, I just think we’re at a point in time when those stories can be articulated in different ways. Even further, I really would like to hear completely new stories because we (POC) are living those untold ones, as well.
